Grind through Life's $tage$

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Informational template, not legal advice. This page is a good-faith plain-language template. It should be reviewed by a qualified professional before you rely on or adopt it.

1. Who this covers

Da Grind is a single-player, one-tap life-milestone arcade game published by Emanuel Quintero, an individual in the United States. This policy covers the Da Grind mobile app and these web pages. Privacy contact: dagrind24.7@yahoo.com.

This policy describes the reviewed current source code. It is not a guarantee of zero data collection or zero network activity, and it does not describe every operating-system or provider service.

2. What the app does not provide

In the current source there are no player accounts, no gameplay server, no online leaderboard, no live advertising and no in-app purchases. The Lab's revenue calculator is a hypothetical sandbox that runs on the numbers you type; it does not connect to ad networks.

3. Data stored on your device

Da Grind keeps one profile in the app's local storage (AsyncStorage). It can include:

  • personal-best score, completed-run totals and lifetime cores;
  • recent run history, up to 500 runs, with run duration and hops;
  • app-launch count and active days;
  • settings such as haptics and reduced motion, and your chosen visual skin;
  • your chosen avatar (an emoji or an optional photo).

This data is used to show your progress and local statistics. The developer does not receive it from the app in the reviewed implementation.

4. Avatar photos

If you choose Upload Photo, the app asks for photo-library permission at that moment. The picture is cropped square, resized to 256 by 256 pixels, converted to JPEG with EXIF metadata excluded, and stored in your local profile. The app does not request camera or microphone access. Emoji avatars need no photo at all.

Your photo is not included when you share play statistics.

5. Sharing and external links

Sharing happens only when you tap it. Share Score and the Lab's statistics export open your operating system's share sheet; you choose the destination, which handles the content under its own terms and privacy notice. The avatar photo is excluded from the statistics export.

The Lab also has two links, to Google advertising guidance and to an article on The Verge. They open only when you select them, and those sites may receive ordinary connection information. See the Google Privacy Policy. For The Verge, consult the privacy information provided on The Verge's website. External sites are independent of Da Grind and may change their policies.

6. Apple, device and backups

Backups, device diagnostics and analytics sharing are governed by your device settings and the provider, such as Apple. See Apple's Privacy Policy. Local storage does not by itself promise that a backup or diagnostic service never holds related data. No independent audit of every production SDK or operating-system component is claimed here.

7. Email support and web hosting

If you email dagrind24.7@yahoo.com, I receive your email address and whatever you choose to send. Mail is handled through Yahoo Mail under the Yahoo Privacy Policy. I use it only to answer you and to keep reasonable support records.

These pages are hosted with Replit, which may process ordinary web-request logs, including IP address, under the Replit Privacy Policy. I add no cookies, analytics, trackers, fonts from third parties, or sign-up forms to these pages.

8. Your controls, access and deletion

  • Remove Photo clears the saved photo and returns to the default emoji if the photo was active.
  • Reset Progress (confirmed in Settings) writes a fresh local profile, clearing scores, history, avatar and photo. It overwrites the current saved profile; it is not a forensic-erasure guarantee and does not reach device backups, screenshots, prior shares or recipients' copies.
  • Uninstalling or clearing app data removes local storage according to your operating system.

Because the profile lives on your device, you already hold it. For any email I hold about you, write to dagrind24.7@yahoo.com to ask for access, correction or deletion. Depending on where you live you may have additional legal rights, which I will honor as the law requires.

9. Retention

Local data stays on your device until you change it, reset it or remove the app. Support emails are kept as long as needed to resolve your request, handle follow-ups, and meet legal obligations.

10. Security

Keeping the profile on your device reduces what is exposed, and the app asks for only the permission it needs. No method is perfectly secure, and device security (passcode, OS updates) matters too. Security measures are proportionate to a small local game.

11. International processing

I am based in the United States. Email and hosting providers may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate.

12. Children and age

The game has no player accounts and does not ask children for their names or contact details. Optional avatar photos are handled locally as described above; support emails can contain information a sender chooses to provide. The avatar picker includes crude emoji, and the game is themed on adult life milestones. Parents and guardians should judge suitability using the store listing's age rating once the platform's rating process is completed; no final age rating is assigned by this notice. If you believe a child has emailed me personal information, write to dagrind24.7@yahoo.com and I will address deletion as required by applicable law.

13. Changes

If the app's data handling changes, I will update this page and its Last updated date.
